The Commission may require a general-purpose AI model provider to hand over the documentation prepared under the transparency and systemic-risk rules, plus any further information needed to check compliance. The AI Office may first open a structured dialogue with the provider. Requests must state their legal basis and purpose, specify the information sought, set a deadline, and warn of the fines for supplying incorrect, incomplete or misleading answers.
