PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY — ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION, NOT THE OFFICIAL TEXT
People who report breaches of the AI Act are protected under the EU's existing whistleblower rules. The Whistleblower Directive (EU) 2019/1937 governs how such reports are made and how those making them are shielded from retaliation. The AI Act adds no separate reporting channel here; it simply extends those established protections to cover infringements of these AI rules.
