The Commission must designate one or more Union AI testing support structures to perform, in the AI field, the testing tasks that Union market-surveillance law assigns. Beyond that testing role, these structures also offer independent technical and scientific advice. Such advice is provided when the Board, the Commission or market surveillance authorities ask for it.
