The Board advises and assists the Commission and Member States to keep application of the AI Act consistent, coordinating national authorities, pooling expertise and best practice, and advising on general-purpose AI model enforcement. It may issue recommendations and opinions on codes, standards, guidelines and the Regulation's review. Its role is advisory and coordinating; binding enforcement decisions rest with the Commission and the national authorities.
