PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY — ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION, NOT THE OFFICIAL TEXT

Microenterprises may meet the quality-management obligations of Article 17 in a lighter, simplified way, provided they have no partner or linked enterprises, following Commission guidance on which elements can be streamlined. This concession touches only the quality-management system; it does not lift any other duty, including risk management, data governance, documentation, human oversight, accuracy, post-market monitoring and incident reporting, which continue to apply to their high-risk systems in full.
