PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY — ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION, NOT THE OFFICIAL TEXT
Member States must support smaller operators by giving SMEs and start-ups priority access to sandboxes, running tailored awareness and training, opening advice channels, and easing their role in standard-setting. Conformity assessment fees must be scaled down proportionately for smaller providers. The AI Office adds standard templates, a single information platform and awareness campaigns. Priority access must not shut out other eligible SMEs that also meet the selection criteria.
