PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY — ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION, NOT THE OFFICIAL TEXT

High-risk AI systems must be designed so their operation is transparent enough for deployers to interpret and use the output correctly. Each system must come with clear, complete instructions for use that state the provider's identity, the system's purpose, capabilities and limits, expected accuracy, robustness and cybersecurity, foreseeable risks, human-oversight measures, and maintenance needs. The instructions must also explain how deployers can read the automatically generated logs. The aim is informed, appropriate use.
