Article 96 — Guidelines from the Commission on the implementation of this Regulation

The Commission issues practical guidance on applying the AI Act, covering areas such as the high-risk requirements, prohibited practices, substantial modification, transparency duties, the link to existing product legislation, and the definition of an AI system. The guidance must reflect the state of the art and relevant standards, and give particular weight to the needs of smaller firms and public bodies. It may be updated when necessary.
