PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY — ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION, NOT THE OFFICIAL TEXT

This provision sets the conditions under which the Commission may adopt delegated acts to fill in technical details of the AI Act. The power runs for five years from 1 August 2024 and renews automatically unless the Parliament or Council objects. Either institution may revoke the delegation or block a specific act within three months of notification. Delegated acts already in force remain valid despite any later revocation.
