COMPETENT AUTHORITY

Office for Digital Integrity at MIRRI SR; MIRRI SR as general MSA and SPOC

Slovakia's draft AI legislation creates a new Office for Digital Integrity within the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation (MIRRI SR) to coordinate and supervise AI systems, with MIRRI SR acting as general market-surveillance authority and single point of contact and the Office for Standardisation, Metrology and Testing as notifying authority. Sectoral bodies including the Office for Personal Data Protection retain their domains. The framework depends on legislation that was targeted to take effect during 2026 and Slovakia is not on the Commission's notified list.

Member States designate their notifying authority and market-surveillance authority under Article 70; the Commission publishes the consolidated single-point-of-contact list. Designation across the Union remains uneven — we track each state's status rather than presenting a uniform picture that does not exist.
