KRiBSI (new AI commission) — law passed, awaiting signature

Poland's Act on Artificial Intelligence Systems creates the Commission for the Development and Security of Artificial Intelligence (KRiBSI) as national market-surveillance body and single point of contact, with the Minister of Digitalisation as notifying authority. The Sejm passed the bill on 11 June 2026 and accepted most Senate amendments in late June 2026; the act awaits presidential signature and the Commission has not yet been constituted.

Member States designate their notifying authority and market-surveillance authority under Article 70; the Commission publishes the consolidated single-point-of-contact list. Designation across the Union remains uneven — we track each state's status rather than presenting a uniform picture that does not exist.
