COMPETENT AUTHORITY

AP + RDI proposed as joint coordinators; RDI as SPOC — bill not yet in force

The Dutch implementing bill (Uitvoeringswet AI-verordening) was published for public consultation in April 2026 and has not been enacted. It proposes a decentralised model with roughly ten sectoral regulators, with the Data Protection Authority (AP) and the Authority for Digital Infrastructure (RDI) jointly coordinating and the RDI acting as single point of contact under Art. 70(2). The AP would supervise prohibited practices, transparency duties and high-risk systems outside existing sectoral remits.

Member States designate their notifying authority and market-surveillance authority under Article 70; the Commission publishes the consolidated single-point-of-contact list. Designation across the Union remains uneven — we track each state's status rather than presenting a uniform picture that does not exist.
