COMPETENT AUTHORITY

Minister for Enterprise Development (MSA + SPOC); National Accreditation Authority (notifying)

Act LXXV of 2025 and Government Decree 344/2025 (X.31), in force from 1 December 2025, designate the Minister for Enterprise Development as the AI Act market-surveillance authority and single point of contact, operating the national sandbox and coordinating sectoral regulators. The National Accreditation Authority is the notifying authority. The Hungarian National Bank supervises high-risk AI used directly in financial services.

Member States designate their notifying authority and market-surveillance authority under Article 70; the Commission publishes the consolidated single-point-of-contact list. Designation across the Union remains uneven — we track each state's status rather than presenting a uniform picture that does not exist.
