PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY — ORIGINAL INTERPRETATION, NOT THE OFFICIAL TEXT

The Commission must keep the AI Act under review. It assesses annually whether the prohibited-practices list and Annex III need amending, and from 2 August 2028 reviews Annex III headings, transparency rules, governance, the AI Office's powers and voluntary codes. From 2 August 2029 it reports on the Regulation overall, including whether a dedicated Union agency is warranted, and a further enforcement assessment is due by 2 August 2031. Reports are published and may propose amendments.
